What is Inox steel?

Inox steel is a type of steel which is resistant to corrosion, cause it contains chrome in his composition, the last one own much affinity with oxygen and react with himself making a passive layer, avoiding the iron corrosion. Inox steel for definition contains a minimum of 10% of chrome. Some types of Inox Steel also contains another alienate elements; the main ones are molybdenum and nickel.

However, the passive layer can be affected for some acids, giving way to iron to be attacked and rusty for inter-granular mechanism or generalized bites.

The same as the majority of steel, they come regulated in Spain for the rule UNE 36001 which are classified in series F310.
